What we do

The Scaletech platform is a one-stop shop to scale impact technologies. To this end, it has defined eight services that are central to scaling impact technologies. For each of these, we offer fully or semi-automated, data-driven solutions.

Why we scale impact technologies

For most problems that impact technologies are trying to address (e.g. the climate crisis), the relevant technologies already exist…but not at sufficient scale. At the same time, our customer discover has shown that many impact technology entrepreneurs are currently prevented from scaling their technologies by a lack of a structured, data-driven and unbiased decision analytic approach.

Who we are

We combine three core types of expertise in building this platform…firstly, on-the-ground knowledge in over 50 markets worlwide based on several decades experience with the World Bank; investment firms specializing in frontiert markets; and international impact funds; secondly, in-depth knowledge of technology scaling by having designed and taught relevant courses (‘Design for Scale’) at MIT; and thirdly, Decision Analytics, a method to make complex decisions more transparent, data-driven, and unbiased.

We have built this platform: Our main user group are companies that develop and / or sell impact technologies. Additional clients have included multilateral development banks, global environmental conventions, and impact investors.

Scaletech is funded by the state of Brandenburg within the programme “Brandenburger Innovationsfachkräfte (BIF 2022)”. The measure is funded by the European Union (European Social Fund Plus ESF+) and the state of Brandenburg.
Scaletech GmbH is developing the Cleantech Hub platform to help cleantech owners make informed decisions about expanding their companies into new markets. It simplifies decision-making by providing access to up-to-date data from reliable data sources and a proactive decision-making process. It enables cleantech owners to make informed decisions about which markets to enter with their product. With intuitive interfaces and clear visualizations, cleantech companies can quickly identify opportunities and risks in new markets, evaluate different market entry options, and assess their potential impact on their business. This dynamic approach adds a new dimension to the decision-making process and enables players to develop customized strategies for scaling cleantech globally. Overall, the Cleantech Hub platform contributes to a more sustainable future by fostering growth in the Cleantech sector. The Innovation Assistant is instrumental in the development of this new software product.
